The Work Force model has evolved through the years, but our steadfast commitment to delivering quality outcomes remains unchanged. Since 1984, our innovative approach to youth development has achieved a remarkable record of success, boasting nearly an 80% participant retention rate, and virtually a 100% high school graduation rate. Of the students placed in Work Force “try out” jobs, 80% receive “competent” or “advanced” evaluation ratings from their employer-mentors.
A recent third party study of program alumni from the past ten years found that:
- Nearly 95% of participants enrolled in college or a technical program upon completing the program;
- Over 90% are currently pursuing high education and/or are employed.
And in keeping with our central goal of helping our young people join the social and economic mainstream,
- Two-thirds who completed the program four or more years ago are no longer living in public housing.
