We believe in education in the broadest sense…

The Work Force promotes participant achievement at home, at school, and at work. Each student enters a culture of high expectations driven by four program components:

• A five-year curriculum that stresses the related goals of personal empowerment, educational achievement, and economic mobility;
• Education supports—including on-site homework centers and one-on-one tutoring—that promote academic growth;
• Individualized case management that incorporates participant’s families and teachers; and
• Employment mentoring through paid after-school “try-out” jobs.
